363 Days and counting down to Tiktok ban
April 26, 2024I have written a couple times about the potential ban of TikTok. It has finally been signed by the President on Wednesday.If your interested to see my previous posts. Tiktok is banned in the first full state (activerain.com)I am not on TikTok and it should be banned (activerain.com) China so far has responded that they have made a push to ban Facebook messenger from being allowed in the Apple Store. In July of last year China banned exports of chemicals needed for A.I. chips from coming to the U.S. Gallium and germanium exportsThey followed that up in December by limiting the exports of high-grade graphite. If your wondering why we banned A.I. chips from going to China this is likely the reason for the response in addition to the A.I. race that may have military impacts on weapons and encryption of all devices reports have said. Exploring Discord Server Features for Creators
April 26, 2024I wrote a couple weeks ago about Brandon Jordan Realtor Discord server (activerain.com)I made a companion video with Visla.US of the ActiveRain post above.The post above I talked about making a Video for Youtube of my Discord server and covered the creative economy in regards to use of discord how they had setup a promo page for Discord server owners along with products and subscriptions that you can offer with your Discord similar to an Etsy, Patreon with the additions. Here is the video it created from the blog post. “Use the power of Visla Al to create professional videos with whatever you have available-while Visla provides the storyboard, script, B-roll, voice-over, subtitles and more.”The above is a description of their services from their website. I have used their product free service so far to test it out and you might have noticed dozens of my ActiveRain post with the visla video added to the bottom of the post as a video of that blog post.You can take your link from ActiveRain and run it through their video creation. They have the options to change out the stock video footage used, as well you can change text. The first few I didnt change anything on the video but I joined their Discord and found other tutor videos on additional edits that can be done. The above is the animated text to video feature they allow up to a 3 second video currently.
You will have some hits and misses, their model doesn’t seem to do all that well with text yet on the videos (it will improve with the human reinforced learning feedback they have an easy thumb up thumb down feedback on their text version a chat gpt layout and I imagine when you hit edit it collects that data as well on image generation), you may have to prompt a few times to get something that you would want to use.
Dont be worried to hit regenerate it will store your first returned results.
You can also hit the edit button to tell the A.I. what you want to change in the resulted image.
I ran through a dozen times and you will want to give yourself a half hour to come up with something usable. You will likely need to crop some text through an image edit software to get it to work. You might luck out and get something quickly though. Its worth a try if for nothing else its a helpful brainstorm for ideas.

Proposal for A.I. community guidelines
April 22, 2024The last post I wrote was AI banned on Activerain ? I dont like to be someone that just presents problems without a possible solution. That in mind here are my thoughts on how to address A.I. being incorporated into ActiveRain Community Guidelines.1. Members of ActiveRain may use A.I. art if they are the creators of the art (you prompted the A.I. model for the creation) If you remixed someone’s created work through the model you will need to have had their permission for the use of their A.I. created work regardless of if at this time A.I. can be copyrighted and comply with already established community guidelines on acceptable materials and copyright protected materials apply to A.I. if uploading a copyrighted picture in a model and only putting a slight filter on it that’s not a new creation the supreme court has ruled. 21-869_87ad.pdf (supremecourt.gov)ANDY WARHOL FOUNDATION FOR THE VISUAL ARTS, INC. v. 2. Members aren’t allowed to use the images of another member or their avatar in A.I. creations, that being stills or motion video, members may also not use the voice of another member unless approval is received from the member. No deepfakes. 
3. Members are to have created at least 80% of the content of their post by a human, prompting is not considered creation, unless members are prompting with back propagation and advanced user levels with creations of negative prompting members must note credit to the portion used from A.I. that was created in order to use up to 20% of the post as A.I. as it can be argued that is at that point artisan by a human. If using any portion of A.I. members are to fact check what they are posting, there are currently no perfect A.I. models and they all have hallucinations that will provide incorrect data from time to time, it’s always a good practice to fact check all data being provided in the Rain. 
I understand this will be a growing topic of content use, web scraping has been ruled legal for example link is below and there will be many discussions going on in the field as A.I. has used all data existing on the internet in some models already.I wanted to present a possible solution on an approach as I have spent more time than the average member of AR working with A.I. models and creations I would bet. https://techcrunch.com/2024/01/24/court-rules-in-favor-of-a-web-scraper-bright-data-which-meta-had-used-and-then-sued Members have spent years creating quality post to connect with peers and customers and spent time brainstorming and refining their post to build this network. AI banned on Activerain ?
April 13, 2024I wrote a lengthy post recently about the Ban on Tik Tok, I wanted to provide sourced material with links for those interested to further study the topic. Recently in the past year with my research of AI and taking certifications via IBM and others I started looking into neural networks combined with the human brain via chips Neuralink and others with what’s called neuromorphic computing which if you go back to that post you will see the theme with the AI generated art that I created and used on the post. 
I covered a wide range of the harms Tiktok is doing to children (not that its good for adults either) there was a ActiveRain member that couldn’t follow along with the post. There is a phrase TLDR that I first seen in 2021 Discord when reviewing NFT projects that I might of been interested in, it means too long didnt read TLDR. The comment also mention it’s as though the post was written by artificial intelligence. I havent used anything in my post that is AI other than for my creations of artwork via AI generative art. I think there will be an appreciation for human made content in the future as most of the internet will turn into AI generated written content. You will notice errors in grammar here and there in my post as well as run on sentences, lack of capitalization, lack of punctuation, incorrect spacing, tendency to repeat myself. I am self aware of how I craft my post. I believe there will be a more widely used tool in the future like the auto check (which is a form of AI) that underlines your post in red when writing a post or email, they are already working on that for AI with watermarks to help teachers grading papers for example and I think the plugin will be in most browser to say this is AI. 
I am not sure when the topic might be approached here on ActiveRain but I imagine at some point it will be. I created the AI group here on AR I started a new group all are welcome https://activerai (activerain.com) so I figured I would get the discussion started.There are a growing number of syndication platforms that create content to post on your social media profiles for you. Its not hard to imagine that some members will try to use AR as a platform to integrate any traffic they can back to their socials via blog post with a saturation of post. There are concerns beyond spam with deepfakes and AI generated voice https://www.fcc.gov/document/fcc-makes-ai-generated-voices-robocalls-illegal 
I imagine at some point there will be rules in place here on AR like there are currently Community Guidelines (activerain.com) which I am sure other knows exactly who decides who decides on these topics that are covered. There are a few things I think could fall into line with the community guidelines it says you cant just copy members only post, you cant just copy copyright material that says its copyright protected. You cant just plagiarize. There is already a long list of established what is banned for not getting you points in the AR system. There are examples of what you cant get points for”(jokes, recipes, inspirational quotes, poems, re published marketing materials, newsletters, press releases, articles etc.) information from government websites, bible verses, large copied sections of the MLS, or post that only contain links and keywords, but offfer no value to consumers.”I am imagining that the section above might be a good place for AI content, I would like to see some thought given to this section as the etc can be vague and need further definition when looking at AI, I will say just because its not a wide spread problem today doesnt mean it wont be in the future. 
I searched for AI banned on AR and didnt find any results, I did see a few of my post on AI so I figured this is a good topic.My recommendations would be have a thoughtful discussion on the topic of fair use Fair use 2 (activerain.com) I would say new works of art like the prompted art I created for the cover image on this post using copilot should be accepted.
